YO. I got another MOC entry for y'all and it's Director Krennic's Delta-Class T-3c Shuttle first seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This is part of my SWOV series, which means the scale is about 1:79 and compatible with sets like the 2019 Millennium Falcon and the 2015 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (if you consider the Lambda to be 20m in length). This ship was very difficult to design and even now has a few things I haven't been able to figure out fully, like a reinforced wing connection method. But as frustrating as this was to develop, it was just as satisfying to see it all come together and have a relatively durable construction. I also managed to make room for FOUR minifigures and their accessories, that's one minifigure less than the 2016 set! The build has been physically built and tested.
Features include folding wings to have the ship in flight mode, a lowering ramp that is as effective as the ones seen in the Millenium Falcon playsets, and interior accessed by removing 4 panels. The most minimal weapons rack is included to manage the blasters for Krennic's Death Troopers and the pilot. I did not make the landing gear retractable, but it can be easily removed If you would want to display this shuttle in flight. Something I will mention is that I have not yet made a dedicated stand for this, but it would be something I would like to tackle in the future.
The orange parts in the instructions can be any color as they won't be seen in the final instructions. To note something about the pieces, I use one 1x2 dark BLUISH gray plate to detail the cockpit, and four 1x2 dark PEARL gray plates on the very ends of the wings (two each). Just a heads up in case it isn't clear in the instructions. I'll be honest, I'm kind of proud of my take on this shuttle, it was a struggle almost the whole way through, but I am so glad I can add this to my ever-growing collection of models. If there are any questions feel free to ask, otherwise I'll be back soon with more to come. Until next time, happy building!
