A holdover from the Republic, the Arquitens-class is a 230-meter light cruiser employed by the Imperial Navy for patrol, communications, transport, and fleet support.

Armed with turbolasers, quad lasers, concussion missiles, and a tractor beam, it combines speed and mobility with enough firepower to engage larger vessels. Unlike its Republic-era predecessor, the Imperial variant features enclosed engine housings, a redesigned bridge, and bow access points for Jumptrooper deployment. Its central docking systems can accommodate TIE crafts or a Sentinel-class landing craft.

The vessel portrayed by this MOC is the Hermes, flagship of Wiluff Maltzach and Ælve Marellus, and thus bears their markings on its ventral hull.
