Along with the Kingfisher and the European roller, it is the most colorful of the birds observed in Italy, and is considered a true icon by those who study animals.
I wanted to try to make one very close to life-size, challenging myself with a new technique: three-stud head, four-stud body. This allowed me to angle the head and body very similarly to the original.
