he X wing is one of the moc iconic star ships of all time. Its Red Five Variant is flown by Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy and has five distinct markings on the end of the wings and rugged, well worn look.  This is one of the most accurate mocs out there with its brick built wings and cockpit angling. The cockpit piece was chosen specifically for its taper, since the official lego x wing piece is technically inaccurate in that way. The X wing has a working s foil / wing mechanism using technic for a smooth and compact design. The nose is also completely unique and includes the notch near the front. There is room inside the cockpit for a minifigure with controls and straps using hotdog pieces! An astromech can fit behind the pilot and the wings are opened with a simple push.
