About this build

This MOC has been verified as buildable by its designer.

With a very confusing lineage this bomber is from a mod of the game Empire at war with Republic Era vehicles based on fan art by concept artist Howard Day. It's related to the ARC 170 (not to be mistaken for the PTB 625, which is closer visually) and even shares similar guns on the bottom. As a bomber, it resembles an early Y wing, used before the version seen in the clone wars. While there were few iterations of this vehicle, I took the best of each to ensure the coolest look, and consolidated the design with three main colors; white, red, and dark gray, which can be easily swapped for others.

This build has many interesting and intricate techniques that allow it to be the most accurate, best looking, and greatly stable as a model. The appearance of anti-studs was heavily avoided, however in some places, it was unavoidable; the entire underside is as detailed as possible, and has details including the bombing ports with respect to the paint job and underside detailing for the engines. The turret can rotate and the build uses angled slopes alone the spine for extra detail, and can fit one minifigure inside of the cockpit.

Dimensions:

  • 6.7 in / 17.1 cm Wide

  • 13.0 in / 33.1 cm Long

  • 2.5 in / 6.3 cm Tall
